Absurd’s Top Five Dancing Shows

Absurd’s Top Five Dancing Shows(1)

April 14, 2008

My love affair with dancing goes back to those classic movie musicals — the barn building scene in “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers,” the Tom, Dick and Harry song from “Kiss Me Kate,” Good Morning from “Singing in the Rain.” I’m a sucker for a dance number and though I suffered through many a tap, ballet and jazz class, I sadly never had much of a talent in that area.

So I guess that’s why I love dancing shows on TV, just another way to live vicariously through others. Here are my top five picks!

A Day at the Beach

A Day at the Beach

Alex O’Loughlin without a shirt, surfing is easy — just stick your arms out and wobble from side-to-side, Jared Padalecki spends the summer at Crystal Lake and one of Philly’s best makes an appearance on I’ve Got a Secret.

Derek Reese: Compassionate Commando

Still recovering from the season finale of Sarah Connor Chronicles so forgive me if I don’t make too much sense. Let’s see, Derek took John to see his own self and John’s future father playing ball before Judgement Day arrived and Kyle and Derek became soldiers who met John and John then sent Kyle back to the past to become his own father and Derek to a more recent past to protect himself. . . my head hurts.

New Amsterdam, SCC, Stargate & a Happy Birthday

What a busy week it’s been. I was in on an interview with Nikolaj Coster-Waldau who plays the lead in the new FOX series “New Amsterdam.” You can read my interview here and my review of the show here. Sadly, FOX ran a conference call with Brian Austin Green of “Sarah Connor Chronicles” at the same time so my buddy Brian had to take that one and you can read all about it right here.
