Here’s a weird thing about me. I am terrified of spiders. I cannot be in the same room with one and I can’t watch TV shows and movies that feature spiders. And yet, Earth vs The Spider is one of my favorite B-movies. I can’t explain it but every time that movie showed up on the old Doctor Shock show back in Philadelphia, I stayed for every creepy crawly moment.
The only thing that would make Earth vs The Spider a cooler movie, is watching it with the boys from Mystery Science Theater 3000.
Lucky for me, and for you, that very movie will be on MST3K XXXII which comes out on DVD on Tuesday, July 28. I’m so very excited.

Wait, what did I just paste on the page? “This Movie Has Legs: Looking Back At Earth Vs. The Spider”! Is this a giant spider movie documentary? Excellent! And here’s another thumbs up for Peter Mark Richman. I met him at a convention not long ago.
Here he is with his lovely wife.
Getting back to Mystery Science Theater. . . as if all of that wasn’t enough, this volume also includes two of those hysterical educational short films from the 50’s. Sometimes I love those even more than the main event.
(Assuming cheesy announcer voice) Order yours now! Mystery Science Theater 3000: XXXIII. Only $42.80 and if you order before midnight, Amazon will include a neat, cardboard, pseudo-box that you can use as a litter box scooper, tent for your Walking Dead mini-figures or a hat if it’s raining.
Are you still here? Go order it and go knowing that I’ll get a few cents kick back if you do.
