Well, the problem's apparently fixed--sort of. Irwin Allen Blog and commenters at IMDB say they've gotten working copies of "Bridge." Not me, though...

Yep. We have the same damaged disc. Sigh. But man, the trailers on Fire and Flood are really something, aren't they? Flood is still my favorite of the bunch.

Unfortunately, "The Night The Bridge Fell Down" reportedly has a manufacturing flaw in the worst possible spot: the second DVD freezes up with about ten minutes left to run.

According to Irwin Allen Blog and IANN.net, WB is aware of the problem and, quote, "issuing credit rather than sending out (further) replacements until the fault is rectified;" replacements which were sent out apparently have the same flaw.

WB has sent me a replacement, but it's still in the mail; here's hoping the problem is fixed. Buyers should ask Warners Archive about the issue before buying.

I bought the full set, and the others all worked fine. "Fire!" and "Flood!" have hilarious trailers, but otherwise the set is bare-bones.
