Nathan Fillion Gets Absurd
Last week I had the pleasure of interviewing Nathan Fillion. Though I’ve been a fan of his for awhile, it was my first opportunity to speak with him one-on-one and I was immediately charmed. I can’t believe he’s not a good ole’ Southern boy because he has a very sweet, laid back style that had me smiling for the rest of the day.
The full interview with Nathan is up at SheKnows.com but I couldn’t resist slipping in two of my favorite “absurd” questions.
What’s something you’ve done, that there is no way you’re ever doing that again?
Nathan: Something that I have done that there is no way I’m ever going to do again? I’ll tell ya, I’m scared of heights. I’m not a big fan of heights. I did a, not even a stunt, barely a stunt. I was wired into a harness, I had to jump from a railing to a scaffolding and grab on, it was something that if you were standing on the ground and you jumped up and grab it’s not that far of a jump by any means, it was hardly athletic. The fact was, I was about maybe twenty, twenty-five feet up from the ground, so everything in my being, every fiber was pulling me back from not jumping. It really took a lot of will power to kinda overcome that. I mean I guess if I had to I would do it again, but I’m not into that. I wouldn’t jump out of a plane. I’m not… no way
What’s something that you’ve kept since you were a kid?
Nathan: Boy, you know I moved so many times, I’ve tried to kind of lessen my emotional attachment to junk and objects. But my folks do have a big box full of comic books. I used to collect comic books when I was a little younger, right before they got good. I sort of got to an age where it was like… comic books…. girls. . .
(and obviously girls won out.)
